Features
It is a 75% colorless phosphoric acid, available in both technical and food grades.
Purification makes this acid effectively formulable to produce, no surprises of compatibility, detergents/ descales/ paint strippers of various nature to diversify and enrich the application performance.
Types
- Emerald/olive green clear liquid
Packaging
- In 27 T tankers.
- Tanks of 1000 LT.
Uses
Uses
- This acid can be used, at appropriate dilutions, directly as a disrupting agent of alkaline encrustations (Calcium-Magnesian) on ceramics, glass, granite, and, cautiously, on marble, and as a deoxidant and dissolutor of rust on iron elements, steel, cast iron, given the limited aggressiveness of phosphoric acid on metals, unlike hydrochloric or sulphuric. Used in pickling tanks of sheets gives them, after drying, a slight phosphating effect that prepares well for painting.
- Where acidic action is required to be associated with a degreasing action on oils and fats, it may be combined with suitable solvents stable in an acidic environment and/or enhanced with detergent functions by formulating the acid with small percentages (3-8 %) of non-ionic surfactants, especially alkyl ethoxylates not foaming.
- If, at the action on ferrous metals, it is desired to achieve a cleaning effect on copper or its alloys, a limited addition of nitric acid widens the decaying capacity of the formulation.
- A similar formulation is useful to attack the milk crust and usually protein incrustations (slaughterhouses).
- If it is intended to confer sanitization characteristics it can be formulated with bactericides stable in an acidic environment, never mix it with alkaline disinfectants such as hypo chlorites or chloramides or trichloro isocyanates (“Triclor”).
