FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE PRESENT
The company was born in Darfo (BS) in 1922, on the initiative of Dr. Ernesto Baslini, and then moved to Treviglio in 1925. Right from the start, the company stands out for its original and innovative production processes. This is why the Company received several awards: gold medal in 1937 and silver medals in 1932 and 1940 from the Istituto Lombardo di Scienze e Lettere.
The company passes to Antonio Baslini, son of the founder, who became its President.
These are the booming years and Italy is growing as it had never happened before. The automotive industry, together with the building pull the Country towards the progress. Globalization is still to come and a big number of chemical products are needed.
The big demand brought the Company to its maximum expansion.
In 1989 the company name became Baslini S.p.A.
In order to cope with the need to operate in different sectors, daughter Companies are created for the agricultural, rubber, animal feed and metal sectors. The 80s and 90s saw the birth of satellite companies of Baslini, dedicated to these sectors: Baslini Metalli, AgriBaslini, Baslini Polimeri and Baslini Tessenderlo.
The company comes into the hands of the third generation: Antonia Baslini. Over time the city of Treviglio has grown, surrounding the company. Baslini Spa decides to discontinue some of the productions that can no longer take place on the territory also because the small town of Treviglio has become a small city.
It is in this decade that the Company starts switching from a 100% production to trading and distribution, specializing in strategic products. However, this step doesn’t weaken the Company on the International scenario.
This is the year that Baslini spa moves from its historic headquarters. This is a transitional phase in which production is relocated, the commercial chemical part is conferred in the newly established Baslini Trade and the Baslini Metalli is dissolved entering Baslini spa. The new headquarters is always in Treviglio, not far from the ground where it stood before…
In 2011, as part of the Baslini spa programme, it disposes its participation in Baslini Trade. The company, thus downsized continues to operate in chemistry having kept within it a range of products of both production and trade. In these years, however, the main activity is the metal part. In fact, Baslini Spa manages to build an important market in the field of galvanic in which it operates both with nickel and with chemical products and in the air conditioning and refrigeration sector in which it operates with the copper pipe and the fittings.
In July 2017, the newly formed CCB Commercio Chimico Baslini srl acquired the chemical and galvanic branch of Baslini spa and a major German company acquired both the metals related to air conditioning and refrigeration and the real estate.
CCB, with headquarters and offices in Milan, therefore continues to operate on the Italian and international market with a lighter structure, faster and definitely more competitive!!
