Metals and Salts for Galvanic
Baslini spa, from which CCB was born, has operated for years in the field of products for galvanic use.
Today we still keep the following range:
Nickel Electrolyte
Used in surface treatments, from primary brands.
TYPES
- Squares of 1″, 2″, 4″;
- Discoid droplets activated in Sulphur;
- Electrolytic nickel discoids “rounds”;
- “Flats” rods refined with nickel-carbon gas;
- Electrolytic nickel strips of various sizes.
PACKAGING
- Packaging depends on the products’ size from 50 to 250 kg.
Titanium
Originally intended for the manufacture of galvanic bath baskets, over time at CCB expanded its uses in precision mechanical workshops and aeronautics.
CHARACTERISTICS
Material produced according to the main reference standards (ASTM, AMS, AWS). The semi-finished products we process are: Round bars in commercial length (3-3,5 meters). Sheets, coils and tubes in the required sizes.
TYPES
- Alloy (Gr 5, Gr 7, Gr 9, Gr 23);
- Commercially pure (Gr 1, Gr 2, Gr 3, Gr 4).
Copper
Annealed/Hard red and tinned copper.
TYPES
- In the shape of Wires, Flat, Coils (20-25 Kg/each), Strands and Ropes.

Nickel Sulphate NiSO4
Nickel sulphate is the nickel (II) salt of sulphuric acid.
CHARACTERISTICS
It is a green, odorless crystalline solid. It is harmful, allergenic, and dangerous to the environment. It was already known to 16th-century alchemists as vitriol green.
PACKAGING
- In 20 kg bags. On 960 kg pallets.
USES
The main uses of nickel sulphate are:
- Electrochemical sector;
- Galvanic and chemical nickel plating;
- Industrial rotary presses;
- As mordant and catalyst;
- In the preparation of other nickel compounds;
- As a reducing agent and in mirror polishing of steel.
Nickel chloride NiCl2- 6H2O
Nickel chloride is the nickel (II) salt of hydrochloric acid.
CHARACTERISTICS
At room temperature it looks like an odorless green solid. It is a toxic, allergenic compound, dangerous to the environment.
PACKAGING
- In bags of 25 kg. On pallets of 1000 kg.
USES
The main uses of nickel chloride are:
- Electrochemical sector;
- Galvanic and chemical nickel plating;
- Sector of industrial presses;
- As a biter and a catalyst;
- In the preparation of other nickel compounds;
- As a reducing agent and in mirror polishing of steel.
Boric acid H3BO3
Boric acid, inorganic acid, weak.
CHARACTERISTICS
It exists in nature as colourless crystals or white powder, soluble in water. Boric acid is used in the glass industry, in the processing of enamels, paints, leather, paper, adhesives and explosives. Often used as mild antiseptic (prevents the growth of bacteria but does not kill them) insecticide, disinfectant, flame retardant and laboratory for the preparation of certain solutions. Not least for the preparation of galvanic baths and in chemical nickel-plating formulations.
PACKAGING
- In bags of 25 kg. On pallets of 1000 kg.
