Uses
Uses
22% sodium bisulphite is widely used in the chemical industry as an antioxidant, reducing agent and whitener.
- In the paper mill, in the production of sulphite pulp.
- In the treatment of chlorine-containing waste water and waste from the tanning and galvanic industry.
25% sodium bisulphite is widely used in the chemical synthesis industry, for the purification of aldehydes and ketones, synthesis catalyst, for the production of sulphonated derivatives, pesticides, herbicides, etc.
- In the textile and paper industry, as antichlorous, anti-peroxide and whitening aid.
- In the paper mill, in the production of sulphite pulp.
- In the mining industry, to break down the oxygen content in the drilling water.
- In the treatment of boiler water to avoid the presence of oxygen and to reduce the presence of metals (especially copper).
